Bay Landscapes and Wildlife

This collection of work is inspired by the northern areas of Morecambe Bay. The gems of Walney Island and Piel Island offer varied bird and wildlife set against the drama of the Lake District Fells, the ever-changing tides of Morecambe Bay and fascinating coastal and historic landmarks. Piel Island, in particular, with its ruined castle provides a dramatic backdrop for the local colony of Eider Ducks and Atlantic Grey Seals.

Walney Island with its famous lighthouse is often surrounded by gulls or starlings. And the area offers and abundance of other seabirds and waders such as Oystercatchers.
