Autumn local makers market at RSPB Leighton Moss on Sat 19th and Sun 20th Sept ‘26
I was delighted to be selected for the RSPB’s local makers market at Leighton Moss in Silverdale. I am a member of the RSPB and love the site at Leighton Moss.
Bringing together a selection of work made by local artists, the market will offer art, ceramics, textiles, food and photography. RSPB’s Leighton Moss Reserve is a stunning site and sight! Now is a wonderful time to see bearded tits and growing numbers of wading birds migrating from colder climates to our relatively warmer shores.
If you’ve never been to the Reserve its easy to get to, and by public transport. Buses stop close to the Reserve and trains stop at Silverdale station which is a short walk away. Once you’re on the site there’s plenty to explore and with a lovely cafe and loos on site, you can make a day or afternoon of it with very good cake. The volunteers and staff are always happy to share their knowledge of birds and wildlife so it’s well worth a visit.
